Shoot Dates

Monday 10th April - Saturday 15th April at this and other locations.

Location Address

113 Henniker Road,

Ipswich, Suffolk,

IP1 5HG

Location Contact

House Owner - Lynne Brinkley

Location Contact Mobile Number & E-Mail

07882115429

lynne.brinkley@outlook.com

Location Telephone

01473 748539

Directions from college to location

The directions to get to my location are to go to the bus station at Tower Ramparts and get the number 8 bus and get off the bus stop at Adair Road just past Tesco Express. A left corner once of the bus and it would be the second house on the left att 113 Henniker Road.

Is the location right for the images?

The location is alright this is because I will be able to take a range of shots at home that will reflect on recent years to help me portray nostalgia much better.

How available is the location?

The location is very available twenty-four seven so availability would not be no prblem.

How noisy is the location? Will recording sync sound be a problem?

The location should not be too noisy, however, saying this buses frequently turn round the corner every ten minutes. Despite this, it does not matter as I am doing photography of which does not need sound so noisiness is not a problem.

Is the location light enough? Will it need extra artificial lighting?

The location, during day, is very light. The location has large windows all around the house and a patio door round the back of which allows natural sunlight through. Also during night if needed, artificial light from lamps and room lights can be used if light becomes an issue.

Is there a power supply at the location? Can it be used by the production?

There are several power sources at this location so power supply shouldn’t be an issue. There are plug sockets at least two to four in every room therefore there will be plenty of supply if power is needed which can be used for production.

Is the location heated?

The location is well heated, there are heaters in every room of which will keep the location warm and comfortable for production.

How long does it take to get to location?

From the college it would take approximately 40 minutes to 1 hour to get to the location due to buses and taking roadworks into consideration. However, from home the location is home so it would take no time to get their.

How will you get to the location? What means of transport can you use?

I will use a bus from the local bus station at Tower Ramparts to catch the bus and for it to allow me to get to my location in the time expected.

How much will it cost each person to get to the location? Bus, parking fees etc.

To get to the location the buses will cost a small fee for travelling with them. This cost is either £1 single or £2 rover for a child or £1.90 single or £3.60 rover for an adult.

Is the location big enough to accommodate production and those involved?

The location is big enough to accommodate all those involved, me for example. The rooms are an average size and the garden if needed is quite large and spacious.

Do you need to get permission from local police/council to film at the location?

I would not need no permission to accomodate my project production in this location other that just telling those who live there when and what I will be doing, other than this I’ll need no permission in this location as it is my house.

Where are the nearest toilets?

The nearest toilets on location are in the location itself on the first floor.

Are there any special health & safety issues with this location?

There are no health and safety issues with this location, however, the driveway does slope quite steeply so would have to be very care walking down this. Also there are stair gates at this location of which should be stepped over carefully to avoid injury and risk of tripping over.

Where is the nearest Hospital/Casualty?

Image Shoot Dates

Monday 17th April - Saturday 21st April at this park/town location as well as around other areas with the Ipswich area.

Location Address

Cornhill, Ipswich IP1 1DH

Christchurch Park, Ipswich IP4 2BX

Location Contact

In town the contact will be the Town Rangers and in the park the contact will be the Park Rangers.

Location Contact Number & Places

01473 252435 (PARK)

01473 433465 (TOWN CORNHILL)

Directions from college to location

From the college to the town location it will be down Rope Walk, Tacket St and then by just following the signs around the town to get to various locations within the town. To get to the park I’d walk down to majors corner and cross over to enter the park.

Is the location right for the images?

The location is alright for the images being taken as I may want to capture some images based on that of the park that will give me a good location to complete my landscapes there.

How available is the location?

The location is usually available everyday providing some last minute event comes up. The park is available from its opening times to closing times of which differ depending on when the sun rises and sunsets. The town is available for exterior images all day all night.

How noisy is the location? Will recording sync sound be a problem?

The location would be quite noisy as there are people buses and other noisy objects within the town and park and surrounding areas. Despite being rather loud, photography doesn’t require noiseless locations therefore it will be alright.

Is the location light enough? Will it need extra artificial lighting?

The locations are light enough as around these locations I would be doing landscape photography therefore the sunlight should be enough light, if not the image will be postponed for a later day and date ensuring that it gets done.

Is there a power supply at the location? Can it be used by the production?

There will not be power supply at the park and neither the town so devices should be fully charged before going out to start production.

Is the location heated?

The locations are outside locations therefore they will not be heated. As a result if a cold day productionists should wrap up warm to reduce the risk of getting a cold or flu.

How long does it take to get to location?

To get to the location from the college it takes around 5 to 10 minutes to walk there and from home it would take around 40 mins to 1 hour depending on the timings and road works that the buses will have to face.

How will you get to the location? What means of transport can you use?

From the college to get to my location I will use just my legs and walk to the town and or park and if coming from home I will use a bus to get into the town/park.

How much will it cost each person to get to the location? Bus, parking fees etc.

From the college it will cost nothing yet from home it will cost £1-2 single or child day rover or £1.90-3.60 single or day adult rover.

Is the location big enough to accommodate production and those involved?

The town and park are large spaces which are very suitable as they are spacious so this means that the locations are big enough to accommodate those in production ie myself.

Do you need to get permission from local police/council to film at the location?

No as I am just taking images and they are all going to be exterior shots therefore I will not need any special permission to complete any production at these locations.

Where are the nearest toilets?

The nearest toilets at the park will be at the information centre located within the park and in the town the nearest toilets will be in either Sailmakers or Majors Corner public toilets.

Are there any special health & safety issues with this location?

There may be quite a few health and safety issues within these locations such as roads and steep hills within town and on the park therefore a great deal of care should be taken while crossing roads and walking up hills to prevent possible injury.

Where is the nearest Hospital/Casualty?

Ipswich hospital, Heath Road, Ipswich, IP4 5PD

People who would be harmed are the people who will be in the shots and those around production as well because the lights can get very hot.

To control measure to stop this from happening is to use the lamp/lights properly, so keep them upright and do not mess around with them. Also after use switch them off and if needed to move them, let the lighting cool down for a few minutes to cool down if they are to be touched to prevent scalding.

Further Action by who and by when

Wires, Chargers

People near and involved within the production because they could trip if there are wires loose.

To reduce the risk of people tripping over the wires and chargers, I will ensure that they are pulled away to the side as far front the public as possible so they do not cause a major hazard to others and myself.

Equipment

Those involved with the production of the project and transporting equipment from place to place.

The equipment should be placed near stable places away from the public and not on the floors to make sure that there are no trip hazards present also the equipment itself could possibly be heavy therefore one person could carry one item so that no injuries occur.

Tripping over the equipment

Those standing around the production of the images could be harmed as there may be small pieces of equipment of the floor.

The equipment should be picked up and placed on a visible area tucked away from the public so others are not at risk so people are aware of the equipment around them however if the equipment is necessary to be on the floor make sure the equipment is easily seen to prevent further hazards.

Website Intro/Lightbox

For my final major project I have created a intro/small video to just show the brief details of what it to be expected when the user goes through browsing my website. It will pop up as soon as the get on the website as a lightbox. Although creating this short animation typed work, I did not state that I was going to be doing this during my proposal.

Why I thought of completing a piece like this is because I noticed that on a variety of general websites there are small intro/video clips to show of what they are all about. This got me wondering whether I should do one similar to put on the first page on my website so that people can automatically be drawn to this and notice what it is I wish to show those viewing the website. My intro is a very short six second clip of which has animated words such as ‘Nostalgia FMP’ and ‘Josh Brinkley-Ripper’ come up in a box.

It is displayed on an image of Felixstowe pier to suggest to those that photography is very much most of what they are going to see throughout these pages and Nostalgia FMP title also suggests that they will be somewhat nostalgic and represent something or other. I created five of these intros using my smartphone of which I used an App called Legend where I was able to create this simple piece.

Once Legend was opened it asked me to Input the text I wanted displayed on the intro, therefore on the first line I wrote ‘Nostalgia FMP’ which is the project title and on the second line wrote my name so that by watching the short intro you can tell what it is and who it is made by. I then went on to choose an effect so I could make the title appear in a small yellow box of which I choose yellow as it is light and makes the image in the background feel brighter as well. Although it was very easy to complete, It did take a little while to get it uploaded and onto my website for that extra bit or production.

Each one of the intros I made which can be seen by following the link below all had different styles, however, the one I chose to use was the first one below as it is very eye-catching and shows of a okay image of Felixstowe in the background which gives it that more interesting effect both for the video and for the photography that will be displayed on my Nostalgia FMP website.

It was quite a smile process to complete this intro as the software used was easy to use. The main difficulty that I faced during producing this was that as I had done this on my mobile phone, I had to get it onto a laptop so I could upload it onto my website this way. All in all, I believe that the intro was done well and fits its purpose it is suppose to show.

See the intros/lightboxes on the slides
